First some preliminaries; when I became a member of the Maranatha Bible Society, on Sunday mornings the Medina Fellowship would meet at Frank Riley's. We would sing a hymn, and watch a Dusty Rhoades tape. Half way through the tape, Riley would pause it and call Dusty Rhoades. After an exchange of some pleasantries anyone could make a comment or ask a question. I asked a question to which King Holy Farce DID NOT Know the answer (I already knew, I wanted to see what Rev. Holy Farce would say)
My question was directly related to the ministry of St. Paul. A digression: a MAJOR PLANK of Doctrine of Richard E Rhoades was his emphasis of the Apostle Paul (I mean MAJOR EMPHASIS!) (Paul Paul Paul!! Glory Hallelujah Paul! To thee we come, before the we stand sinful and sorrowful...etc etc)
Here is the question: as used by Paul, what is the difference between "Jesus Christ" and "Christ Jesus" (I already knew the answer). Guess what!? The Omniscient Biblical Scholar Rev. Holy Farce DID NOT KNOW!
So Ken Brandt; I put to you the same question (and from the standpoint of Biblical Scholarship this is a simple one). I already know that you don't know, and I know WHY you don't know.
Here's why you don't know:
Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.
Hey Biblical Biblical One; go rightly divide this. Is this to you, for you, or about you?...If that's too complicated rightly divide just "NEVER ABLE".
A sidelight: when I first became involved with the MBS I thought everything was so great and wonderful. Then ever ever ever so gradually I began to sense that there was something that was just not right. In hindsight I now see it clearly.
A) The one single most important plank of their "doctrine" was "the gospel" (oh glory hallelujah), this being Paul's 1st letter to the Corinthians, chapter 15, verses 1~4...this is true! However (as espoused by Rev. Holy Farce) the Fellowship took to mean that the last four words of verses 3 and 4 referred to the epistles of St. Paul.
B) Dusty Rhoades was a "King James Only" preacher. He would preach that the KJV was perfect and inerrant...then turn right around and make alterations thereto.
C) The next most important plank of their doctrine was 2nd Timmothy 2:15. Ken Brandt has stated on tape that he believes to rightly divide the word of truth means to rightly divide the letters of Paul. Excuse me Ken Brandt, excuse me; I hardly see how you can rightly divide the word of truth when you don't even know what the Word of Truth is!
